Energy Distribution Services (EDS) plans to take over three wind power plants and the Competition Council will assess the deal to ensure compliance with the law.

Energy Distribution Services (EDS) S.R.L. has initiated a transaction to acquire three wind power plants from Ground Investment Corp, Elektra Wind Power and Elektra Green Power. EDS, controlled by the Mirea brothers, has estimated business of nearly 2 billion lei in 2024. The Competition Council will analyze the transaction to check its compatibility with competition rules. EDS reported a significant drop in turnover and net profit in 2024 compared with the previous year.
