The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has started an analysis of electricity suppliers' prices after market liberalization. ANRE president George Niculescu noted that most offers are between 1.45-1.55 lei/kWh, and an analysis will determine whether these values are sustainable. ANRE is also verifying how suppliers have informed customers about liberalization, noting delays in the communication of this information by one major supplier. Penalties are possible for non-compliance.
