Starting November 17, YouTube will restrict access to video content from games that contain violence, allowing viewing only for logged-in users over 18 years old. This measure targets clips that include scenes of "violence or mass torture against non-combatants" and that feature "realistic human characters." YouTube will evaluate footage based on criteria such as the detail and duration of violent scenes, and those that exceed the established limits will be completely blocked. Content creators are advised to tone down these scenes to avoid issues. YouTube officials emphasize that these policies reflect the platform's commitment to protecting young users and promoting a responsible environment. Additionally, creators will no longer be able to direct users to gambling sites with digital goods, including NFTs.
