YouTube, the largest online video site, is about to introduce a new AI Mode, similar to the one existing in Google, called Ask YouTube. This feature, currently in testing, allows users to search for content through a conversational experience, replacing the traditional keyword-based search method. For example, users can search for "funny clips with dogs and cats," and the results will include a short description, AI-suggested videos, and additional relevant information. Users can continue the conversation on the same topic or adjust the search parameters. However, as with any generative artificial intelligence application, there are risks that some information may be false or fabricated, due to unverified content or AI hallucinations. The experiment is initially available only to Premium users in the United States.
