Apple has announced the withdrawal of two of its most important executives, Kate Adams, the general counsel, and Lisa Jackson, vice president for environment and public policy. Jennifer Newstead, legal director at Meta, will take over the role of general counsel in March. Adams, who joined Apple in 2017, coordinated litigation and privacy initiatives in the context of global antitrust pressures. Jackson, part of Apple since 2013, led diversity programs and played a significant role in social justice and environmental initiatives. Their departure comes at a time when Apple is facing a series of leadership exits. Newstead, the future general counsel, has managed legal issues at Meta and has extensive experience in U.S. administration.
