Historic moment in space. The astronauts of Artemis II will arrive on the unseen side of the Moon Monday night.

The astronauts of the Artemis II mission, composed of three Americans and one Canadian, are approaching the unseen face of the Moon, set to become the first humans to venture such a distance from Earth.

NASA has announced that the Orion spacecraft has entered the Moon's sphere of influence, and the crew will experience a period of approximately 40 minutes without communication with Earth while they are behind the Moon. They will have the opportunity to observe regions of the Moon's hidden face, including the Orientale basin, a gigantic crater. Although the mission provides valuable data, the astronauts have reported issues with the Orion capsule's toilet, which has had difficulties managing waste. Until it is repaired, the crew has been instructed to use backup bags for urine collection.

The Artemis II mission marks an important milestone in space exploration, taking place several decades after the Apollo program.
