According to sources, OpenAI is developing a social network that could rival the X platform, with an internal prototype that combines image-generating functionality. CEO Sam Altman has sought outside opinions on the project, which is still in its infancy. The rivalry between Altman and Elon Musk has intensified, with Musk accusing OpenAI of deviating from its original mission. An OpenAI social network could compete directly with Meta, which is working on an autonomous AI service.
