NASA transported its gigantic rocket, the Space Launch System (SLS), and the Orion spacecraft to launch pad 39B at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, in preparation for a lunar mission that will send astronauts around the Moon, a first in the last 50 years. The 98-meter tall rocket was moved after a helium system issue forced NASA to postpone a planned launch in March. Engineers have resolved the issue and hope to complete final tests at the pad to confirm the rocket's readiness for a launch window in April.

The transport was carried out by Crawler-Transporter-2, a tracked vehicle, at a speed of about 1 mph, to minimize risks. After arriving at the pad, engineers will check the repairs and conduct pressure tests before deciding whether the mission can proceed.
