NASA will conduct scientific experiments during the total solar eclipse scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, in Spain and Iceland, to collect essential data about the Sun and Earth.

A team of researchers will track the shadow of the Moon from aboard a WB-57 research aircraft, aiming to investigate the dynamics of the solar corona.

As part of the National Eclipse Balloon Project, students from American universities will launch scientific balloons before, during, and after the eclipse to analyze the impact of the temporary darkening of the sky on the Earth's atmosphere.

NASA will broadcast the totality phase of the eclipse live through its digital platforms, first from Iceland, then from Spain.

The eclipse will be visible in certain areas of Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, the Atlantic Ocean, Spain, and a small part of Portugal, while a partial eclipse will be observed in other regions of the northern hemisphere.
