Facebook is facing a significant outage, with thousands of users from various countries reporting difficulties in accessing the platform. According to the outage monitoring site IsDown, over 5,700 reports have been recorded in the last 24 hours, with active issues detected starting this afternoon.
Users from the United States and the Philippines are among the most affected, but issues have also been reported from Romania, although the severity of these problems is unclear. The outage affects not only Facebook but also the Messenger messaging service, which cannot be accessed.
The parent company Meta has not yet provided an official statement regarding the causes of the outage or when normal service will resume. Additionally, users have reported issues on other platforms owned by Meta, such as Instagram and Threads.
