The CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, presented the company's plans for orbital data centers, which will include a million satellites intended for the development of artificial intelligence (AI).

In a recent video, Musk discussed the launch of AI satellites equipped with solar cells and laser links for fast communication. SpaceX intends to launch a production unit for these satellites by the end of next year. Musk emphasized that space is necessary to support AI capabilities, considering the limitations of data centers on Earth.

Although orbital data centers are still theoretical, SpaceX is confident in developing the necessary technologies. Musk mentioned that existing technology for Starlink satellites can be adapted for these centers. Each AI satellite will generate significant power and will be launched with SpaceX rockets. Musk downplayed concerns about overcrowding in orbit, stating that there is enough space.

SpaceX is preparing for a stock market listing, estimating a value of over 1.75 trillion dollars, betting on orbital data centers and artificial intelligence to attract investors.
