China becomes the second country after the US to advance research into brain-computer interface (BCI) technology. A device implanted in a patient with tetraplegia has enabled him to control video games exclusively by mental commands. The implant, believed to be the world's smallest, is 26 mm in diameter and less than 6 mm thick, more than 100 times more flexible than those developed by Neuralink. In the next stages, the project aims to control a robotic arm by thoughts, with the potential to improve the lives of people with paralysis.
