Apple and Google recently launched global security alerts, informing users that they could be targeted by state-sponsored hacking campaigns. These notifications highlight an increase in sophisticated spyware attacks, particularly from the provider Intellexa. Apple confirmed that it issued alerts on December 2, notifying users from over 150 countries, without disclosing the exact number of affected individuals.
Google, on the other hand, announced on December 3 that it had alerted "several hundred" accounts targeted by spyware tools attributed to Intellexa, with users coming from countries such as Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Egypt. Despite international sanctions, Intellexa continues to operate.
