A recent study from the UK showed that neurodivergent workers are 25% more likely to use AI assistants compared to neurotypical colleagues. Tara DeZao, senior marketing director at Pega, highlighted how AI has transformed daily work, helping her manage difficult tasks such as note-taking. AI tools range from programming assistants to internal communication aids, supporting essential functions for neurodivergents. Companies that embrace neurodiversity can generate revenues up to 20% higher. However, there are risks, such as conflicting needs and unconscious biases, that must be managed through ethical design. Researchers and non-profit organizations are working to identify and correct biases in AI communication tools, ensuring they are tailored to various communication styles. DeZao described the benefits of AI as transformative, helping neurodivergents to focus and maintain concentration.
