7-ton meteorite observed in the sky over the USA

A seven-ton meteorite fell in Ohio, streaking across the sky above the city of Cleveland at a speed of 72,000 km/h, causing panic among locals. The phenomenon was observed on Tuesday morning, around 09:00, and was filmed by several witnesses, who reported a deafening roar similar to an explosion. NASA confirmed that the meteorite had a diameter of 1.83 meters and released energy equivalent to 250 tons of TNT at the moment of disintegration.

People in Cleveland and other American states were alarmed by the loud sound, and officials from the American Meteor Society received reports from Wisconsin to Maryland. The meteorite was first observed about 80 kilometers above Lake Erie and traveled 55 kilometers in the upper atmosphere before disintegrating above Valley City. Although no large fragments have been reported, meteorologists suggest that there may be some small pieces left.
