The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, mocked Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Thursday for blocking a 90 billion euro aid package from the European Union, crucial for Ukraine's survival in the conflict with Russia.

Ukraine relies on this financial aid to cover its budgetary needs, while most of the funds are directed towards defense. Orban opposed the package due to a dispute over oil supply. Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers urgently need weapons and suggested that if Orban continues to block aid, he should be contacted directly by the Ukrainian armed forces. He also mentioned that Ukraine is quickly repairing the oil pipeline infrastructure affected by Russian attacks. Despite the challenges, the Ukrainian army has managed to recapture recent territories, while European ministers have unsuccessfully tried to convince Hungary not to punish Ukraine for the delays in restoring the Druzhba pipeline to operation.
