Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be received on Monday by Emmanuel Macron, during a visit aimed at reaffirming France's commitment to Ukraine and maintaining efforts for Kyiv's security guarantees.

This is Zelensky's ninth visit to France since the beginning of the war in February 2022. In the context of stalled peace negotiations with Russia, the Ukrainian leader will ask his partners for more air defense systems. The two presidents will also visit the headquarters of the "multinational force Ukraine," created by France and the United Kingdom. Macron and Zelensky will discuss military support, including air defense, at the Villacoublay military airbase. Announcements regarding new arms aid are also expected. After the visit to Paris, Zelensky will travel to Madrid on Tuesday for meetings with Spanish officials.
