The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the sanctioning of Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, accusing him of allowing the deployment of hypersonic ballistic missiles, the "Oreshnik," on Belarusian territory and facilitating Russian drone attacks on Ukraine.
Zelensky emphasized that the placement of these missiles, capable of carrying nuclear warheads, poses a threat not only to Ukraine but also to Europe.
He also mentioned the installation of WiFi repeaters in Belarus, which help Russia in coordinating attacks.
The sanctions imposed by Zelensky consist of suspending Lukashenko's economic rights in Ukraine, although the effects are largely symbolic, considering the tense relations between the two countries.
