President Volodymyr Zelensky denies plans regarding elections and a referendum in Ukraine: "We will move to elections when all necessary security guarantees are implemented."

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky rejected on Wednesday the information published in the Financial Times, according to which he intends to announce on February 24 a plan regarding the organization of presidential elections and a referendum on a possible peace agreement with Russia.

The Financial Times wrote on Wednesday, citing anonymous sources, that Ukraine is considering organizing presidential elections and a referendum on a peace plan by mid-May.

"We will move to elections when all necessary security guarantees are implemented. It is very easy to do: a ceasefire will be established and elections will take place," announced Volodymyr Zelensky at an online press conference.
