The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, will arrive in Berlin on Tuesday, accompanied by members of his government, for discussions with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. This visit marks the first official German-Ukrainian government consultations in recent years and has been kept secret for security reasons. The spokesperson for the German government confirmed that Zelensky will be received by Merz at the chancellery, where important topics such as financial and military support for Ukraine, reconstruction efforts, and the return of Ukrainian refugees will be discussed.
It is also expected that both parties will sign several agreements, and at the end of the meeting, Merz and Zelensky will hold a joint press conference to present the results of the discussions.
