Volodimir Zelenski said they were preparing for the release of prisoners of war after document exchanges were made through Turkey. Earlier negotiations led to the exchange of 1,000 prisoners, but made no progress towards a truce. Despite the intensified fighting, Zelenski has called for a new package of sanctions against Russia if peace talks fail.
