Volodimir Zelenski and Donald Trump met on Saturday in Rome on the sidelines of Pope Francis' funeral for a private discussion on the situation in Ukraine. Trump said that Ukraine and Russia were "very close to an agreement", while the Ukrainian leader was under pressure to get US military support. The White House communications director described the meeting as "very productive" and further details are yet to be provided. The meeting comes amid broader negotiations between Washington and Moscow.
