YouTube, owned by Google, has started to remove AI-generated videos that include characters from Disney movies and series, as a result of pressure from Disney. The company threatened to sue Google for copyright infringement, considering that AI allows users to create videos with protected characters. YouTube risks being considered a distributor of pirated materials by hosting these videos. Although Google has not taken action against the generation of these videos, the company is looking to avoid YouTube's involvement in a lawsuit. It is possible that Google and Disney will reach a licensing agreement, given that Disney recently signed a similar agreement with OpenAI.
