The President of China, Xi Jinping, welcomed the Spanish Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, at the Great Hall of the People, where they discussed common positions regarding international conflicts, including the situation in Iran. Xi expressed satisfaction with the Hispano-Chinese relations, noting that they have evolved steadily over the past four years, despite international challenges. He emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation and reject the "law of the jungle," advocating for authentic multilateralism. Prime Minister Sánchez highlighted China's hospitality and underscored the importance of renewing the multilateral system to better reflect the realities of a multipolar world. Both leaders agreed that it is essential to collaborate to address current trade tensions and geopolitical challenges. Sánchez stated that Spain will remain a reliable partner, committing to contribute to the resolution of global issues. After the meeting, Xi hosted a lunch in honor of the Spanish Prime Minister and his delegation.
