Paris prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation against platform X, accusing it of algorithmic bias and fraudulent data mining. X disputes the charges as politically motivated and says the investigation could restrict freedom of expression. The company refuses to cooperate with the authorities and accuses that the investigation was initiated by a French MP with a political agenda. X also criticizes the fact that it is being investigated on charges of organized crime, allowing intrusive measures.
