Shannon Tufuga, a 40-year-old woman from Provo, Utah, has been charged with the kidnapping of an 11-year-old boy, whom she considered to be her son's aggressor. The incident occurred on September 17, when Tufuga sought out the boy, identified as 'KB', to confront him regarding bullying. The woman forced the child to get into her car and took him to her home without the parents' consent. There, she threatened him that her husband would beat him if he did not apologize. The incident caused the boy severe emotional trauma, and prosecutors decided to reduce the charges from first-degree felonies to second-degree felonies. Tufuga faces between one and 15 years in prison and fines of up to $10,000.
