Tom Homan, the envoy of President Donald Trump, announced the immediate withdrawal of 700 immigration police (ICE) agents from Minneapolis, following increased tensions in the city. The decision comes after two Americans were shot by federal agents during protests against ICE's violent operations. Approximately 3,000 agents were sent to this Minnesota city, known for its Democratic leanings, to combat illegal immigration. The Trump administration stated that it will soon reduce the presence of agents in the area, in the context of recent protests and violence.
