Oliver Blume, the CEO of Volkswagen, stated that the tariffs in the U.S. have generated billions of euros in losses for the automotive group, affecting its brands, including Audi and Porsche, which do not have local production in the U.S. Volkswagen recorded a loss of 600 million euros for Audi and 300 million for Porsche in the first half of 2025. Blume emphasized the importance of discussions with the U.S. government for possible tax reductions and mentioned plans to build a local factory for Audi. He also acknowledged the challenges Porsche is facing in the U.S. and Chinese markets.
