<p>Putin praised the 'life-tested and future-oriented alliance' with Kazakhstan, emphasizing the strategic partnership. The visit comes amid tensions in Ukraine, where Kazakhstan, while supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity, is accused by the West of allowing Russia to evade sanctions. As well as energy projects, the meeting between the leaders of the two countries could include talks on building a nuclear power plant in Kazakhstan.
