A job advertisement for a carer to look after an elderly person has sparked outrage on social media because of the low salary on offer.

The ad described extensive responsibilities, including caring for an elderly person with health problems, housework and administering therapies, all for €500 a month, just over €4 an hour. The outcry was sparked by the discrepancy between the amount offered and the amount of work required.
