In Serbia, a fifth night of clashes between anti-government protesters and police led to the use of stun grenades and tear gas by security forces. The protests, sparked by the collapse of a train station, escalated into demands for early elections and denunciations of corruption. The interior ministry denied allegations of brutality, while Russia declared support for pro-Moscow President Aleksandar Vučić. The protests attracted hundreds of thousands of participants but were marred by violence, with reported injuries and accusations of police abuse.
