At the end of the anti-government protests in Athens, violence escalated, with demonstrators throwing firecrackers, fireworks, and smoke bombs at the police, who responded with tear gas. During the clashes, some protesters threw Molotov cocktails in the direction of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Authorities arrested at least 20 people, including two young men aged 17 and 20, in an attempt to restore order.
