The Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban will have a meeting with American President Donald Trump at the White House on November 7, according to the announcement from the Hungarian government. Gergely Gulyas, head of the Prime Minister's Office, stated that preparations for this meeting began long ago. The two leaders will discuss important topics such as energy, economic, monetary, and defense issues. Additionally, several agreements are expected to be signed, some already prepared, while others will be negotiated in the coming days. Gulyas emphasized that Orban is a European leader dedicated to peace, a point that Trump also shares.
Furthermore, the topic of peace in Ukraine will also be addressed. Gulyas expressed hope that the canceled summit between Trump and Putin could take place in the future. A press conference will be held during the meeting. Orban and Trump have a close relationship, with Orban being the only European leader who supported Trump in his 2016 campaign.
