Vacations in Italy are getting more expensive, prompting many families to forgo long stays and vacations in July and August in favor of June and September. Rising rates are not justified by energy costs or inflation, according to Assoutenti's president. Prices vary significantly between regions, with Emilia Romagna having the most affordable options while Sardinia remains the most expensive. Costs for accommodation and transportation, including ferries, are on the rise, while beach costs are equally high, with exorbitant prices in exclusive resorts.
