The US administration has announced sanctions against two judges and two prosecutors of the International Criminal Court in response to the issuance of arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the measures are aimed at protecting US and Israeli sovereignty, calling the ICC a threat to national security. The sanctions freeze the targeted individuals' US assets and exclude them from the US financial system.
