The United States will impose 15% tariffs on EU wines and spirits from August 1, up from 10%. Negotiations for a different agreement will continue in the autumn, with talks to be held after a joint communiqué is finalized between the US and the EU. France's wine industry is already struggling because of falling sales and trade disputes with China.
