Ursula von der Leyen accuses Russia of direct responsibility for the drone incidents in the Baltic states: "Europe will respond with force"

Ursula von der Leyen, the President of the European Commission, stated on Wednesday that Russia bears "direct responsibility" for the drone-related incidents that have increased in intensity in the Baltic states.

She promised a firm response from the European Union, emphasizing that Russia's threats are unacceptable. The statements come after the leadership of Lithuania was forced to take shelter due to a drone that violated airspace, an incident that led to the temporary suspension of air traffic.

The Lithuanian Minister of Defense mentioned that NATO military aircraft were activated to neutralize the threat.
