UOKiK has announced that Netflix has unilaterally increased subscription prices by up to 7 zloty without the explicit approval of subscribers, in violation of Polish law. The authority emphasized that contractual changes, such as price, require the active consent of consumers. Netflix said it would work with UOKiK to clarify the situation. If the allegations are confirmed, Netflix could be fined up to 10% of its turnover and forced to refund customers.
