According to Eurostat data, Bulgaria had an unemployment rate of 3.3% in April 2025, the lowest since joining the European Union in 2007. This is in line with other European countries with low rates, such as the Czech Republic and Malta (2.7%), and Poland (3.3%). In contrast, the highest unemployment rates were recorded in Spain (10.9%) and Finland (9.1%). At the EU level, the unemployment rate was 5.8%, while in the euro area it fell to 6.2%.
