In her report, Mariana Kačarova emphasizes that the situation of human rights in Russia has worsened since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, highlighting the systematic repression of opponents. Russian authorities use torture and intimidation to suppress dissent, and medical personnel are involved in acts of torture, including training prison staff in administering electric shocks. Kačarova calls on Russia to hold accountable the medical personnel involved in these abuses.
