This morning, a unit of the Ukrainian Navy carried out an attack on the vessel MARQUISE, flying the Cameroonian flag, using two kamikaze drones of the MBEK type. According to the Navy's statement, the incident occurred 210 kilometers southeast of the coast of the city of Tuapse, Russia, where the ship was adrift without an active signal. It is estimated that MARQUISE was waiting to be loaded with cargo from another ship. The attack caused damage to the stern and in the engine room. The vessel MARQUISE is known for the illegal transport of petroleum products and is listed on the sanctions lists imposed by Ukraine, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada, and New Zealand. This attack aligns with Ukraine's previous actions in the Black Sea, targeting ships from Russia's phantom fleet, which are used to circumvent international sanctions.
