Ukrainian forces attacked the Savasleika airbase on the night from Friday to Saturday, located in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where MiG-31 fighter jets capable of launching hypersonic Kinjal missiles are stationed.

According to monitoring channels cited by the Ukrainian press, the explosions led to the outbreak of fires, but the extent of the damage and any potential destroyed aircraft have not been confirmed. The base is located 660 kilometers from the border with Ukraine, and the attack is said to have been carried out with Ukrainian Flamingo missiles. At the same time, explosions were reported in the city of Samara, 800 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Additionally, the Supernova Plus channel mentioned that a Russian ballistic missile hit a aerospace design unit, but this information has not been verified. The Savasleika base is crucial for Russian aviation, and Ukrainian attacks aim to reduce Moscow's strike capabilities.

In recent days, Ukraine has also attacked Russian energy infrastructure, including the port of Ust-Luga, causing significant damage. These actions are part of Ukraine's strategy to strike military and logistical targets far from the front line.
