The Ust-Luga port in the Gulf of Finland was attacked on the night from Tuesday to Wednesday by Ukrainian forces, causing a fire, according to the governor of the Leningrad region, Aleksandr Drozdenko. Although no casualties have been reported, the port is essential for Russian exports of fertilizers, oil, and coal.
This is the second attack on port infrastructure in the area in recent days, after the Primorsk port was hit on Monday.
Additionally, the governor of the Belgorod region announced significant damage to energy infrastructure, resulting in interruptions in the supply of electricity, water, and heating.
The intensification of Ukrainian attacks comes against the backdrop of a massive Russian drone attack, which resulted in eight deaths in various regions of Ukraine.
