The French company Atreyd has developed an innovative system called DWS-1, described as a "drone-mined field," which will be used by the Ukrainian army to counter Russian drone and guided bomb attacks. This system, which includes dozens of small drones, will become operational in a few weeks and will initially be used to intercept Russian kamikaze drones. DWS-1 relies on artificial intelligence to adapt trajectories in real-time and can operate even in GPS jamming conditions.
A soldier can control up to 100 drones simultaneously, and the cost of an interception is only a few thousand dollars. Atreyd has gained international recognition and already has contracts with NATO members for the expansion of the system. This technology could change the way Ukraine defends itself against aerial threats.
