The Ukrainian Minister of Defense, Mikhailo Fedorov, announced on Facebook that the first domestically developed guided aerial bomb has passed the necessary tests and is ready for use in combat.
The development process took 17 months, and the bomb has an original design created by Ukrainian engineers, without being a copy of Western or Soviet solutions. It is designed to effectively strike fortifications and command posts, having a warhead of 250 kg.
The Ministry of Defense has already acquired an experimental batch, and pilots are training for the use of this new weapon. Fedorov emphasized that Ukraine is developing its own high-tech solutions, which gives it an advantage on the battlefield.
The guided bomb, which can hit with millimeter precision from long distances, will expand the operational capabilities of the Ukrainian forces.
