The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, made a visit to the troops near the city of Pokrovsk, where fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces has recently intensified. Zelensky published photos from a command post of the 1st Corps, located about 20 km from Pokrovsk. Russia announced that its troops have advanced in Pokrovsk, a transport and logistics hub that it has targeted for over a year, however, Zelensky stated that the city remains under severe pressure, with no Russian progress in recent days. He mentioned that up to 300 Russian soldiers may have infiltrated the city. In another context, Ukrainian authorities have launched an investigation after a Russian missile attack killed several elite Ukrainian soldiers during an award ceremony in Dnipropetrovsk. The Eastern Operational Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack but did not provide details about the number of deceased soldiers.
