Ukraine has requested Turkey to organize a meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin to relaunch peace negotiations.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister, Andrii Sybiga, announced that Ukraine has asked Turkey to host a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

This request comes in the context where peace negotiations between the two countries are stagnant, and Kyiv is looking for ways to accelerate the process of ending the war that has lasted for over four years. Sybiga mentioned that Ukraine is open to any other location for the meeting, except for Belarus and Russia, considering that Belarus is an ally of Russia and has allowed the use of its territory for the invasion of Ukraine.
