On Thursday, Ukraine and Russia carried out a new exchange of prisoners of war, according to official announcements from both sides. President Zelenski released images of freed Ukrainian soldiers, most of them captured in the first months of the February 2022 invasion. Those released were sick or wounded, and Russia has announced that its prisoners will receive treatment and rehabilitation. Details about the total number of prisoners exchanged were not disclosed.
