The woman returned home two weeks ago after a six-month vacation in North Africa, but began to show severe symptoms, including headaches, inability to walk and speak. Diagnosed with the rabies virus, she died recently, and her daughter posted a message on Facebook to prevent similar cases. The UK authorities have assured that there is no risk of rabies virus spreading through human contact and urged travelers to avoid contact with animals in affected areas. Rabies causes tens of thousands of deaths worldwide each year.
