British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has announced a pilot scheme with France to return migrants arriving illegally on British shores. Under the "one in, one out" formula, the UK will return migrants to France while receiving asylum seekers in return. Starmer emphasized that the plan is aimed at combating migrant smuggling and demonstrating the futility of illegal crossings of the Channel. Although media reports suggest the plan could target up to 50 people a week, the prime minister did not confirm an exact figure.
